Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 2026
Introduction
Liftli is an AI content strategist for LinkedIn, X, and Substack. It has three parts: a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects to your own AI assistant (such as Claude), a web console that supports it, and an optional Telegram connection. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect across these services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
An important point about how Liftli works: Liftli itself does not run a large language model. When you ask for content, the text is generated by your own AI assistant, which you connect to Liftli. Liftli provides the strategy, structure, and knowledge that guide that assistant, and stores the information you build up over time so it can produce better, more personal work. Liftli does not send your content to a language model on our side to generate posts or replies. The one exception is transcribing voice notes you choose to send through Telegram — described below.
By using Liftli, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Account and Identity
You sign in through our authentication provider (WorkOS AuthKit); some sign-in options may use Google. Through sign-in we receive:
- Email address
- Name (where provided by your identity provider)
- A unique account identifier
- Subscription plan and billing status
To operate the MCP, we derive a non-reversible internal user ID from your account identifier, so your data can be stored and retrieved without keeping your raw identity inside the MCP.
Strategy and Content Data
To act as your content strategist, Liftli stores the information you and your AI assistant build up through the service, including:
- Your professional profile — for example your role, company, headline, what you do, ideal audience, goals, positioning, and writing voice
- "Seeds" — raw ideas, notes, saved news items, and transcripts of voice notes you send
- Memory items you save — stories, beliefs, voice and style preferences, outcomes, and notes about people or companies you mention
- Drafts, posts, and content strategies you create or save
Telegram Data (optional)
If you choose to link Telegram, we collect the Telegram account and chat identifiers needed to connect it to your Liftli account, along with any messages or voice notes you send to the Liftli bot. Voice notes are transcribed to text (see "Voice Transcription and AI" below), and the transcript is saved to your account as a seed. You can unlink Telegram at any time.
Usage and Analytics
We automatically collect information about how the service is used, including:
- Which features and tools you use, and related metadata (this excludes the content you write)
- Interaction data, including session activity captured through our product-analytics provider, with text inputs masked
- Error and performance information
- Device, browser, and access information
As a small team building Liftli, we also learn from how the service is used in practice. This can include looking at information stored in your account — such as your profile, seeds, drafts, and strategies, and the inputs your AI assistant sends to Liftli's tools — when it helps us understand a problem or make the product better. We keep this to what's needed for that purpose, limit it to authorized people and the internal tooling we operate, never use it to train AI models, and never share it outside Liftli.
Payment Data
Payments are handled by our payment processor (Paddle), which acts as merchant of record. Paddle collects the billing information needed to process your payment; we receive confirmation of your subscription and plan, not your full card details.
Communication Data
We may collect support requests, feedback, and survey responses you send us.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and personalize the strategy, memory, and knowledge that power your AI assistant
- Maintain your account, profile, and saved data
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Operate the Telegram connection you have enabled
- Understand usage, fix problems, and improve the service
- Send service updates and relevant communications
- If you request one of our free guides by email, deliver it and occasionally send Liftli tips and offers — the signup form says so, and every such email includes a way to unsubscribe, which we honor promptly
- Ensure security and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on:
- Contractual necessity (e.g. operating your account, storing your strategy data, and billing)
- Your consent (e.g. linking Telegram, or receiving marketing communications)
- Our legitimate interests (e.g. securing and improving the service)
- Legal obligations (e.g. tax and regulatory compliance)
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the circumstances described below.
Your AI Assistant
Liftli works through the AI assistant you connect to it (for example Claude). When you use Liftli, the strategy guidance and stored information relevant to your request are provided to that assistant so it can do the work. Your use of that assistant is governed by its own provider's terms and privacy policy.
Service Providers (Sub-processors)
We use trusted third parties to run the service. Each processes your data only to provide its function to us:
- WorkOS — authentication and sign-in
- Paddle — payment processing (merchant of record)
- Groq — transcription of voice notes you send through Telegram
- Telegram — the optional messaging connection you enable
- PostHog — product analytics and error tracking
- Render — hosting and data storage
- Supabase — storage of our customer and marketing records
All service providers are required to handle your data consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our legal rights, ensure user safety, or prevent fraud or abuse.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity under the same privacy commitments.
Voice Transcription and AI
If you send a voice note through Telegram, the audio is sent to our transcription provider (Groq) to convert it to text, and the resulting transcript is stored in your account. Apart from this transcription, Liftli does not send your content to a language model on our side — content is generated by the AI assistant you connect. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit
- Access controls and authentication
- Isolation of each user's stored data
- Secure development practices
While we strive to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your account credentials safe.
Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent (for example, unlink Telegram or opt out of marketing)
To exercise these rights — including deleting your stored profile, memory, seeds, posts, and Telegram connection — contact us at privacy@liftli.ai. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. Some requests may require identity verification.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service:
- Profile, memory, seeds, and posts: until you delete them or ask us to delete your account
- Inputs your AI assistant sends to Liftli's tools: kept as part of your account data until you delete your account
- Saved news and trend items: automatically expire after 14 days if unused
- Telegram link codes: expire within minutes; the Telegram connection itself lasts until you unlink it
- Usage and analytics metadata: retained for a limited period to operate and improve the service
- Legal and billing records: as required by law
When you ask us to delete your data, we remove your stored profile, memory, seeds, posts, and Telegram association. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or accounting reasons.
International Data Transfers
Liftli and several of our service providers operate in the United States. Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country, where data-protection laws may differ. If you are located outside the United States and provide us information, you agree to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States. Liftli takes reasonable steps, including contractual safeguards, to ensure data transferred internationally is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Liftli is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we learn we have done so, we will delete the data promptly.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use only first-party cookies — never third-party or advertising cookies, and we never sell your data. On the marketing website (liftli.ai) there are just two:
- A strictly-necessary consent cookie (
liftli_consent) that remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again. This is always set once you choose and requires no consent. - A single first-party analytics cookie, which lets our own analytics recognize a returning visitor so we can understand how the site is used and improve it. It is scoped to
.liftli.ai, so if you then sign in to the console we can see it was the same visit rather than two unrelated ones. If you are in the EU or EEA, this cookie is set only if you click Accept. Elsewhere, it is set by default when you arrive; if you decline, we remove it and fall back to session-only storage that is cleared when you close the tab and never identifies you across visits. Your choice — accept or decline — is stored for up to 400 days (the maximum browsers allow); while it is stored, a decline means the cookie is not set again on later pages or visits, and when it expires you are asked again as a new visitor.
You choose when you first arrive, and you can change your mind anytime via the Cookie preferences link in the site footer. The console (app.liftli.ai) additionally uses cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences; some console features may not function properly without them. As a signed-in product, the console also records how you use it — the same first-party, input-masked analytics described below — so we can find and fix friction; this rests on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the product you have signed up for, and you can object by contacting us.
What our analytics records, and when. Our analytics can record the pages you visit, the links and buttons you click, and a replay of your visit — so we can see where the site confuses people and fix it. If you are in the EU or EEA, none of this runs until you click Accept; decline and we do not measure your visit at all. Elsewhere, this measurement runs by default and the banner governs only whether we set the cross-visit cookie. Either way, text you type into form fields is masked before it ever leaves your browser, analytics requests are served from our own domain rather than a third-party one, and you can withdraw consent anytime via Cookie preferences in the footer. We use PostHog for this; nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-product notification. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
